I'm here

But I am afraid I haven't done a ton better the the exercise dept. I really have NOT wanted to exercise, literally. and have contemplated quitting. I have projects that I am doing and my house is a mess and well exercising by myself is not fun at all. At least I can't make it. If anyone has some motivation that would be great.

Hello? is anyone there?

I have to admit: I've slacked off. I've fallen off the band wagon. I've exercised ONCE in TWO weeks. yes. you read that right. and the one time I did exercise is when stacie took me to ZUMBA. totally fun, awkward, sweaty, and totally laugh-inducing the ENTIRE time. we should all go this friday. $5/time 6:30 sharp. be there or be square. so anywho- will someone pull me back onto the wagon? I've lost my drive to exercise! (that even rhymed...yikes. someone help.)anyway. if anyone reads this sad little post- please comment back so I know that this exercise support group still has someone that's committed...

Rocked it!

I made it to Zumba tonight! I didnt want to go alone, since Amanda couldnt come and I couldnt get ahold of Kellie. But I went and I got tired half way through it, but still pushed myself to work out. I totally loved it though! I am going to be going every Friday night. For those of you that want to join, its Fridays at 6:15 pm and its $5 for nonmembers. Hope you guys can go and have fun! I was smiling the whole time!! ;D

I finally made it to the blog! Thanks for you help Amanda! Well I must say that I was skeptical about the add it up party, but it turned out to be just GREAT! I felt much more connected to this group and committed to my personal goals! We should for sure do these parties at least once every two months if not more. I would be happy to bring some fruit pizza to the next one! :)

Thought I would drop in, say hi, and leave you a QUICK recipe! I THINK this should be healty... though eating healthy is NOT my area of expertise.

1 package cooked turkey or ham chunks (pretty cheep to buy them this way actually)
1 can cream o chicken soup
1/2 cup or so sour cream
handful of peas, corn, chopped carrots, celery, onions, and any other goodies you desire.

pour into a casserole dish

Prepare a box of stove top stuffing according to mix directions.

Spread stuffing mix on top of cacerolle mixture.

cook @ 350 for 25 min.


Well - ok - TECHNICALLY I haven't tried it yet! LOL. I made up a box dinner tonight that was this basic idea. It was pretty good.. but tasted like a cheep 'dinner in a box'. I thought to myself that it would be a killer easy recipe to make on your own! Instead of dumping in their cans of casserole goop just mix up your own in 5 min and then put the worlds best stuffing (stove top of course) on top!! I am sure it would be tasty!! I think I will be trying it out next week!

Friday's ADD IT Up Party!

So the add it up party was a great thing for me. I did not realize it until after I had to leave. Sorry again guys for my negativity. It truly ended up inspiring me to keep it going and try to push it up a notch, no kidding. It was my exercise therapy and I really think we need to do one every month. Some will need it more than others as a positive reenforcement. I really, really like the idea of doing a few workouts together and I think the record sheet is a good thing to have to account for and bring to each monthly meeting. I can make one for myself and keep track. Thank you guys for including me in this journey. Love you all.

Calling all participitators....

Anyone that would like to come to an ADD IT UP party at my place is welcome THIS FRIDAY (as in March 12, 2010) at 7 pm. Bring your jars of change! We need to talk about where we want to set the ground rules now that we've been doing this for a month! So- meet at my place (email me if you need directions or address: ) Do we want to have snacks at these parties??? we are, after all, trying to get into shape- but what's a party without munchies??? Give me some input on whether we want food or no food. ALSO: I'm going to try and borrow my brother's xbox so we can have four Dance Dance Revolution mats to play! Feel free to bring the kiddos I'll try to put a movie on downstairs for them to watch while we party. ***Unless a spouse will be chillin at home-instead of coming to the exercise pact party***
PS give me a YES or NO (for whoever is interested, and whether you want snacks) and # of people coming (INCLUDING kids that you're bringing)


So Matt and I got a membership to the Magna Rec Center, and found out they offer Zumba on Monday nights from 6 pm to 7 pm and Friday nights from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. So I would like to round up some of you ladies to go and give it a try one of these Friday nights. If you would be interested in participating, let me know and we can decide which Friday night works best for everyone.

Vegas Workout

So my workouts last week were grueling. I walked around the bellagio, Caesar's palace, the Aria, excalibur, new york new york, m&m factory and everywhere in between with a 15 lb weight for half the time. I'm good. viva las vegas on a walk.

Spring is upon us

Spring is almost here and it is starting to get warmer outside. Not to mention the sun stays out longer. I am thinking its time to get out the ole bike and get to riding again. I am thinking I will be checking tires sometime this next week and start heading out on rides. Cant wait! If anyone else has a bike that would like to join me, let me know. Or we do have an extra bike that can be used.
